Acquisition

This memoir was written by Anna Rosa Friedman about her husband's experiences, and she submitted it to Holocaust Publications in 1986. When the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum acquired the assets of Holocaust Publications, the memoir came to the attention of the Archives. Friedman gave a copy to that department in Oct. 1993.

Scope and Content

Contains information about the experiences of Anna Friedman's husband and his family before, during, and after the Holocaust; the German invasion of Poland; conditions inside the Warsaw ghetto; hiding during the liquidation of the ghetto with an Aryan family; and seeking refuge in a monastery.
