Acquisition

Pearl Fichman wrote her memoir in 1989. She donated a copy of it to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives in July 1993.

The memoir describes the experiences Pearl Fichman and her family's pre-war life in Romania prior to her immigration from Europe after World War II. It contains information about antisemitism in Romania, life in a ghetto, and the occupation of Romania by Russian soldiers.
