Archival History

Mr. Kurt Lindenberg

Acquisition

The donor collected the postcards which were sent to him from Germany in 1941 by Hermann and Johanna Lindenberg, his father and mother, and Heinz Lindenberg, his brother. Photocopies of the postcards were sent to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Oral History Department in 1992, and that department forwarded the copies to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives ca. Aug. 1992.

Scope and Content

Consists of five postcards exchanged among members of the Lindenberg family (Kurt, Herman, Johanna, Heinz, and Ruth) during November and December of 1941 after Kurt's departure to Australia on a children's transport.
