Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej-Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu (Institute of National Remembrance-Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation), Sygn. 891. The records were created by the office of the SS und Polizeiführer im Distrikt Lublin from ca. 1940 to ca. 1944. After World War II, they were deposited in the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej. The records were selected and filmed during 1992 and 1993. The microfilms were received at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives on 23 Apr. 1993.
Scope and Content
Contains information about propaganda; SS activities in Lublin, Poland; police activities in Lublin; industry; agriculture; "Germanization" and propagation of German culture in occupied areas of Poland; members of the SS in Lublin; and combatting partisans.
