Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej-Komisja Ścigania Zbrodni przeciwko Narodowi Polskiemu (Institute of National Remembrance-Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation), Sygn. 167. The records were created by the Einwandererzentralstelle, Rasse und Siedlungsamt, Aussenstelle Litzmannstadt from ca. 1939 to ca. 1944. After World War II, the records were deposited in the archives of the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej.The records were selected and filmed during 1992 and 1993. The Archives received the microfilm on April 23, 1993.
Scope and Content
Contains information about the activities of the Einwandererzentralstelle, Rasse und Siedlungsamt, Aussenstelle Litzmannstadt from circa 1939 to circa 1944; resettlement of Poles; Germanization of native Poles; Germanization of Polish children; qualification of Poles as Volksdeutsche; racial investigations by the SS; Mischlinge; marriages of SS members; transports; establishment of concentration camps; and Poles used in forced labor.
