Acquisition

"Hear, O Israel" was written by Olga Zaslavsky on 12 July 1981. It was translated from the original Russian into Yiddish and then into English. The translator is unknown. The poem and translation were received in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives in Oct. 1991.

Consists of "Shmai Israel" ("Hear, O Israel") written by Olga Zaslavsky. The poem, in Yiddish, relates to the massacre of Soviet Jews at Babi Yar. The poem is accompanied by a typed English translation.
