It was kept with the Carlo Foa's personal papers by his son, Piero Foa until it was turned over to Carlo Foa's grandson, Richard Foa, ca. 1985. It was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives by Piero Foa in May 1986 via Sr. Carol Rittner, R. S. M. Received along with the report was a copy of an article by Leo Alexander that appeared in the 14 July 1949 issue of the "New England journal of medicine."
