Biographical History

Helen Kopman was born 24 Sept. 1924 in Warsaw, Poland. She is a survivor of Majdanek and Auschwitz.

Acquisition

The inmate list and notations of Kopman's biography were obtained from the Państwowe Muzeum Oświęcim-Brzezinka (State Museum of Auschwitz-Birkenau) by Helen Kopman in Jul. 1984. Kopman donated the documents to United States Holocaust Memorial Museum via Michael Berenbaum.

Scope and Content

Includes a copy of a fragment of an inmate list from Auschwitz. The list provides the names of 21 prisoners and their identification numbers. It also shows Helen Kopman as a member of Block #12. Also included is a more recent document giving biographical information for Helen Kopman and a chronology of her life in the concentration camps.
