Acquisition
The photographs are duplicated removed from National Archives RG 338, War Crimes Cases Tried, U.S. vs. Alfons Klein et al, Box 94, folder "Book I" (Stack 7/29/30/1). They were located by Charles Downs of NARA and donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives via Robert Kesting of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives staff.
Scope and Content
Consists of copies of photographs from the war crimes case of the U.S. vs. Alfons Klein et al. The ten copyprints depict scenes at the Hadamar sanitarium, cemeteries in the vicinity, and autopsies performed at Hadamar by Dr. Hermann Bolker. Each photograph has a caption on the reverse side in English. Item #7 (Photo of autopsy) is missing from the file.
