Biographical History

Paul Singer was born in Ostroviec Kelecki, Poland, on 13 September 1920. He was imprisoned in Dachau concentration camp from 1939 until his liberation in May 1945. Singer died 13 October 1988.

Acquisition

Janette Singer donated the card to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1991.

Scope and Content

An identification card issued to Paul Singer by the Jewish Administration of Displaced Peoples' Camp after his liberation from Dachau. The card contains biographical information about Singer and indicates that he participated in a special transport to visit the zone of Poland occupied by the Russians.
