Andrew Engel
Acquisition
The scrapbook of postcards and other materials was compiled by Andrew (a.k.a. Endre) Engelin Mar. 1983. A copy of the scrapbook was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in June 1986. Other copies were donated to Yad Vashem and the American Jewish Archives.
Scope and Content
Contains copies of correspondence between Andrew Engel and his family and friends during the Holocaust, together with English translations, arranged in the format of a scrapbook. Includes information about Engel family genealogy, Righteous Among Nations, the concentration camp at Nyirjes, and forced labor.
