Acquisition

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received these report cards from Eva Garcelon on behalf of her mother, Barbara Makosa, on December 18, 2000. Barbara Makosa, was a very good friend of Zofia Herbach. Zofia Herbach gave Barbara Makosa these report cards for safe keeping in 1942 when she knew the imminence of her deportation.

Scope and Content

The collection contains two report cards belonging to Zofia Herbach of Grybów, Nowy Sącz County, Poland. Zofia likely perished during the Holocaust around 1942.
