Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Lietuvos centrinis valstybės archyvas (Lithuanian Central State Archives), Fond R-683/1,2. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Programs Division ordered the filming of the records in 1999. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the microfilm reels in July 2000.

Scope and Content

Contains orders; educational materials; personnel files; lists of arrested persons, of Communist Party members, and of Jews working for the Sipo and SD Commander in Vilnius; telegrams about the activities of Soviet paratroopers in Poland; reports on partisan activities and lists of wanted partisans; index cards of surveyed persons; and publications.
