Biographical History

Arthur Baldauf (1880-1976) was born in Henderson, Kentucky to Heinrich (Henry, 1839-1916) and Josephine (1852-1891) and had six siblings: Isaias, Karoline, Morris, Regina, Nathan, and Salomon. His father immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1855. Arthur married Rhedna Mayer and had four children: Josephine, Henrietta, Jane, and Ruth. Flora Schwartz was Arthur’s cousin and Carola Goldstein was Flora's granddaughter.

The Baldauf and Goldstein family correspondence was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1999 by Ruth and Richard Levi.
