Acquisition

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Akt Nowych, Warsaw, Poland, Sygn. 202/II. Records created by the Delegatura Rządu Polskiego na Kraj, Departament Informacji i Prasy, and deposited in the Archiwum Akt Nowych after World War II. The records were selected and filmed for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives in 1992.

Scope and Content

Contains information about the activities of the Delegacy of a Government for a Country Poland and its subordinate units during the German occupation. Of special interest is information about prisons in various Polish cities; concentration camps; communist activity; conditions in the Warsaw ghetto; and underground movements.
