Acquisition

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received this collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Survivor Registry on Apr. 9, 1998. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Survivor Registry received it from Michel Kleinsinger. Mr. Kleinsinger passed away in 2003 and as it is clear he intended to donate this collection, it was accessioned in Jan. 2004.

Scope and Content

Contains reviews of Michel Kleinsinger's compositions, photocopied newspaper articles about the composer and his life, and a memoir entitled "On Wings," which describes his childhood experiences, life in the Lublin concentration camp, hiding as a Catholic, and later emigration to Brazil.
