Acquisition

Jean L. Shaw discovered the postcard within a collection of postage stamps that she obtained from her step-father, Jack Silberger. It is addressed to her step-grandfather, Morris Silberger. She donated that postcard to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives on May 5, 1998.

Scope and Content

A postcard dated December 6, 1945, written by the wife of Dr. Sandor Rado (Mrs. Sandor Rado) from Budapest, Hungary, to Morris Silberger in Brooklyn, New York. Contains information about the fates of family members during the Holocaust, including Dr. Sandor Rado, who was a prisoner in Dachau concentration camp.
