Biographical History

Jadwiga Jaszunska was born in Łódź, Poland in 1906, and died in Warsaw, Poland in 1992. She and her daughter found refuge during the war in a Catholic convent near Warsaw, Poland.

Acquisition

Mikhail Zeldovich donated the collection to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in1994.

Scope and Content

Contains a typescript copy of an English translation of a memoir written by Jadwiga Jaszunska and translated by Linda Noble, and a Russian language version of Jadwiga Jaszunska's memoir. The collection also includes fifteen black and white family photographs.
