United States Holocaust Memorial Museum collection, gift of Charles and Lois Apfelbaum

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received this collection from Charles and Lois Apfelbaum in Nov. 1994. Charles Apfelbaum, a dealer in rare books and collections, purchased these materials at auction. Original and copies of materials were created or collected by Artur Rosental and family; the Malz / Finkelstein family; Alois Schwartz; Rita Rimalower; and the Eskenasi family.

Scope and Content

Contains handwritten and typescript photocopies of miscellaneous correspondence and publications that include a draft of a manuscript, newspaper articles, letters, notes, and vitae of Josef Mengele, all related to the publication of the short story "One Tin Soldier."
