Acquisition
Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Samarskiĭ oblastnoĭ gosudarstvennyĭ arkhiv sot︠s︡ialʹno-politicheskoĭ istorii (SOGASPI) (State Archive of Socio-Political of the Samara Region), Russia. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection from SOGASPI via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Programs Division in Jan. 2013.
Scope and Content
Contains selected records of the former Communist Party Archives of the Samara (Kuĭbyshev) Region related to the evacuation of Soviet civilians to the Samara Region during WWII. It includes correspondence files related to their resettlement and name lists of communists evacuated to the region from various regions of the former USSR.
