Acquisition

Michael A. Horowitz, the son of Bernard Horowitz, donated these photographs to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives on Mar. 13, 2000. Bernard Horowitz received the photographs from John McGinnis, a fellow soldier in the 553rd Military Police Escort Guard Company.

Scope and Content

Contains four photographs taken by John McGinnis, a member of the 553rd Military Police Escort Guard Company, upon the liberation of the Buchenwald concentration camp.
