Acquisition

Inge Schlesinger sent her memoir to the White House along with a letter to President Clinton. The White House forwarded the letter to the Museum's International Programs Division, which transferred the memoir to the Museum Archives on Mar. 21, 1999.

Scope and Content

Contains a memoir about Inge Schlesinger's childhood in Berlin, Germany, forced labor experiences at the Zeiss-Ikon factory in Berlin and in Auschwitz, experiences in Ravensbrück, Grima, Belgium, and later emigration to the United States.
