Acquisition

Source of acquisition is the the Archivio di Stato di Pisa (State Archive of Pisa), Italy. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s International Archives Project in July 2012.

Scope and Content

Contains records from the Prefecture of Pisa regarding racial laws and their implementation in Pisa, as well as a census of Italian Jews and confiscation of Jewish property.

Organized in three series: 1. Difesa della Raza; 2. Prefettura (Prefecture); 3. Prefettura 2.
