Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Arhivele Naţionale ale României (Romanian National Archives), Fond Colecţia Rechizitorii. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection from the Romanian National Archives, via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s International Archives Project in May 2012.

Scope and Content

Contains trials of individuals accused of crimes in Transnistria and Iași (Romania); indictments of top leaders of the Antonescu administration, indictments of leaders of the National Peasant Party (adversaries of communists and not war criminals), and indictments of other anti-Communist leaders.
