Acquisition

The original name card index, collection R 11, is housed at the Israel Ministry of the Interior and was digitized and microfilmed in cooperation with the Israel State Archives. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2011.

Scope and Content

Contains approximately 35,000 index cards and correspondence relating to legal Jewish immigrants to Palestine between the years 1933-1948.
