Acquisition
Source of acqusition is the Yad Vashem, who obtained copies from the Arhivele Naționale ale României (Romanian National Archives), Centrul pentru Studiul Istoriei records of the Evreilor din România (Center for Study of History of Jews in Romania) of the Federatia Comunitatilor Evreiesti din Romania (Federation of Jewish Communities of Romania). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2011.
Scope and Content
World Jewish Congress census of Holocaust survivors in Romania in 1945; documents on the persecution of Jews under the Antonescu regime, deportations of Jews from Transylvania, forced labor, and other subjects (an inquiry into Adalbert Kallay); a list of administrators of property “Romanianized” from Jews.
