Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Federația Comunităților Evreiești din România. Centrul pentru Studiul Istoriei Evreilor din România (Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania. Center for Study of History of Jews in Romania). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the digitized collection from the Federation of Jewish Communities Archive in Bucharest, Romania, via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in May 2011.

Scope and Content

Consists of interviews conducted by the Jewish Democratic Committee’s Association of Widows and War Orphans (IOVR) with the Holocaust survivors after the war.
