Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Arhivele Naţionale ale României (Romanian National Archives), Prahova branch, Fond Prefectura Judeţului Prahova, 1937-1944 Inv : No 721. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection from the Romanian National Archives via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s International Archives Project in January 2011; and an additional reel was accreted in April 2011.

Scope and Content

Contains records from the Prefecture police of Prahova, including correspondence and a list of goods taken by the police from the Iron Guard (Garda de Fier).
