Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Arhivele Naţionale ale României (Romanian National Archives), Fond Pretura Plasii Ineu, 1930-1950, Inventar No. 206.The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection from the Romanian National Archives, via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s International Archives Project in January 2011.

Scope and Content

Contains records from the sub-district of Ineu, including records related to the confiscation of Jewish goods, lists of deported Jews, an inventory of churches and religious groups that were permitted or prohibited, and name lists of members of Baptist, Adventists, and Unitarian churches.
