United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collection, Gift of the Estate of Henry Baigelman

The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2010 by Riva Berelson and Simon Baigelman on behalf of the Estate of Henry Baigelman.

Scope and Content

Contains documents pertaining to Henry Baigelman's participation in a jazz band called the "Happy Boys" that performed in displaced persons camps in Germany after WWII. Includes handwritten sheet music, song lyrics in Yiddish, certificates acknowledging group's performances, documentation stating that Henry Baigelman had been interned at the Flossenbürg concentration camp, and a copy of a Passierschein issued to him.
