Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the T︠S︡entralʹnyĭ derz︠h︡avnyĭ istorychnyĭ arkhiv Ukraïny u Lʹvovi (Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv), Fond 422, Opis 1. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in October 2009, Dec. 2010, and March 2011. The duplication project is completed.

Scope and Content

Consists of various reports, statistical information, records related to organization and administration emigration and repatriation, finance and transportation. It also includes correspondence with shipping companies.The bulk of this collection relates to the administration of emigration and is arranged in alphabetical order (Ukrainian) according to designated countries of emigration, e.g. Australia, Austria, etc.
