Acquisition

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collection, Gift of Eugenie Shields. In memory of the soldier and photographer William Carry.

Eugenie Shields donated these photographs and postcards to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on May 15, 1994.

Scope and Content

Consists of 24 original photographs taken by William "Billy" Carry and of four German postcards from World War II. The photographs depict liberated Berlin, a liberated concentration camp, and mass graves, while the postcards show portraits of Hitler and other Nazis.
