Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Arhivele Naţionale ale României (Romanian National Archives), Fond 1689. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the microfilmed collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archival Programs in May 2009.

Scope and Content

This collection covers topics such as the “Jewish religion,” converted Jews, internment of Jews in camps, deportation of Jews to Transnistria, Jews accused of communism, the Jews of Czernovitz (Cernăuţi), and repatriation of deported Jews.
