Scope and Content
10 reichspfennig [empire penny] coin, with 100 reichspfennig equalling 1 reichsmark, issued for use by the government of the Third Reich, Nazi Germany. From 1940-May 1945, when Germany surrendered and ended World War II in Europe, the coin was struck in zInc as a cost saving measure for the war, in all seven of the Reich mints.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Circular, blackened, silver colored zinc coin, with a smooth edge, embossed on the front with the Nazi symbol of an eagle facing right grasping in its talons a wreath enclosing a swastika. The reverse is embossed with the denomination 10, with a mint mark D below between two oak leaves, with German text around the top inner rim.
