Scope and Content
5 reichspfennig [empire penny] coin, with 100 reichspfennig equalling 1 reichsmark, issued for use by the government of the Third Reich, Nazi Germany. From 1940-May 1945, when Germany surrendered and ended World War II in Europe, the coin was struck in zInc as a cost saving measure for the war, in all seven of the Reich mints.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Circular, corroded, silver colored zinc coin with a reeded edge, embossed on the front with the Nazi symbol of a right facing eagle with a swastika enclosing a wreath held in its talons. The reverse is embossed with the denomination 10, with a mint mark F below between two oak leaves, with German text along the inner rim.
