United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collection, Gift of Gene S. Selig

Received by members of the Selig family during the time period of the Holocaust in Germany and Japan. Donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2008 by Gene Selig.

Scope and Content

Contains an inoculation certificate issued to Gert Selig in Kobe, Japan, and photographic prints of the Selig family in Frankfurt, Germany. Siegfried and Hildegard Selig fled Germany with their ten year old son Gert in 1940, via the Tans-Siberian railway through China and Kobe, Japan, arriving in the United States in late 1940.
