Scope and Content

Collection of documents relating to Marta Hafner (donor's mother) and her experiences before, during, and after the Holocaust. Marta Hafner was deported to Transnistria in 1939. She survived under the false identity Constanta Dumitrescu and worked at the Jagendorf Foundry. After the war she worked as a secretary for the US Army and married an American soldier. She came to the United States in 1947.
