Scope and Content
Contains a Red Cross letter written by Arpad Stern (donor's great uncle) to Salomon Stern (donor's grandfather), December 1943, Rimaszecs, Hungary. Received by Salomon Stern, July 1944, in New York. Form is printed in Hungarian, French, and German, with message written in Hungarian. Text reads: "Dear Róza and Salomon we are well but without shop and income we would like to hear good news from you please write to us Kisses Arpad and Piroska;" Salamon Stern received the telegram months after it was created. Arpad and Piroska Stern perished in the Holocaust. Their two sons fled to Palestine and survived.
