Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Warszawie Oddział w Grodzisku Mazowieckim, Poland, Sygn.1075. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in 2015.

Scope and Content

Statistics, maps and data related to the population and economy in the post-war years, the so-called secret matters related to social life (searching of the perished persons, settlement, collection of money and the like), reports and news concerning the events of the occupation and post-war period, situational reports of individual departments, files of the Federation of Former Prisoners of Nazi Camps and Prisons, materials of associations and trade unions, exhumations, cemeteries, problems of war invalids, and abandoned properties.

Arranged in five series: 1. Statistics and other records relating to population and economic matters; 2. Secret matters: political orientation of population, matters of minorities, citizenships and crimes, 1945-1950; 3. Situational reports; 3. Sanitary statistics and related correspondence; 4. War veterans matters; 5. Abandoned properties.
