United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collection, Gift of Douglas Smith

The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2013 by Douglas Smith.

Scope and Content

Consists of one black photograph album with pasted photos of Jewish residents of the "Hagshara Kidma" in Chile. The album, which is dated 1945-1947, depict residents of the farm doing chores and participating in other aspects of communal life. The album includes a final postcard depicting some of the residents leaving for Palestine by airplane. Also includes a handwritten work schedule for the farm dated November 27, 1946.
