Scope and Content
Reel 1: 00:14:34 German military convoy moving through Russian countryside. Several shots of burning buildings. CU of a bombed tank in a hole. Reel 2: 00:15:43 German Panzer convoy moving into a town. Several shots from different angles of a group of Russian soldiers under German guard. Local Russian townspeople gathering in city square. Russian peasants loading belongings onto wagons. German soldiers taking cover. Burning building. CU of Russian local. German soldiers running down a road, fighting, shooting next to buildings. Men standing next to a truck looking up into the air, presumably due to an air raid. Next shots show fire and smoke emanating from a town in the distance. The church towers are visible. Panning shot of smoke and fire through the trees. Shot of a damaged tank by the side of a road. Camera follows a plane as it crashes in the distance, followed by a large plume of black smoke. The next shot shows the pilot as he parachutes to the ground. Switches to soldiers bandaging a person lying on the ground, along with several dead bodies (appear to be Russian). Reel 3: 00:19:42 German army rolling into bombed out city. German soldiers walking past dead bodies of Russians. Russian locals milling around as German army enters the town. Locals marching along single file under German escort. Pan of a badly damaged buildings/pile of rubble. Russian locals marching down the street, carrying the injured on mattresses on their shoulders. Russian women gathered around a large tank, filling bottles. German military vehicles struggling through a very muddy street.
