Laval's other attorney, Jacques Baraduc, is shown speaking. Shots of Laval listening to the proceedings, then speaking angrily. He speaks at length in his own defence. Charles Doyen, former head of the Armistice Commission, takes the oath and speaks. Charles de la Pommeraye and Leon Noel, former French ambassador, speak for the prosecution.
