Note(s)

  • This clip was used to illustrate a media story about the discovery of the roughly 400 page diary of Alfred Rosenberg. The diary covers 1936 to 1944, when Rosenberg was responsible for looting valuables in German-occupied lands and planning Nazi administration of conquered Soviet territories. After more than a decade of efforts, Rosenberg’s diary surfaced among other items missing from the USHMM Robert M.W. Kempner Collection. USHMM worked with the FBI, the Department of Justice, and a private investigator to locate the diary, which Homeland Security agents found at a private company in upstate New York in 2013.
