Biographical History

Katrin Seybold (1943-2012) learnt film making from Edgar Reitz, among others. Since 1979, she has had her own production company and makes television productions about social issues and documentaries about the persecution of German Gypsies, Jews and the resistance during the Nazi regime.

Scope and Content

Finished 1987 documentary film about the Nazi persecution of the Roma/Sinti. Photographs of family members, interviews with surviving members of family. Color footage of children (01:34:31-01:36:54): playing at recess, dancing with nuns, before taken to Auschwitz, boys shining shoes in street, playing games.
