Footage from Nazi newsreels from beginning of occupation of Warsaw. Tram shots: HA street scene with view of tram tracks, trams. Sign: "Nur Fuer Juden." Very brief shot of unidentified border.

Note(s)

  • See Story 309, Film ID 202A for duplicate footage. The colonnade seen here is Pilsudski Square (renamed Adolf Hitler Platz in 1940). This is probably not part of Warsaw Ghetto reel NR1 or reel NR2 as originally indicated by NCJF. Burn-in time codes appears on Betacam SP version (Protection copy) as well as the VHS. NCJF can make their one-inch version available on a loan basis.
