1150 U (03:21:12): Lidice, Czechoslovakia. Commemoration of the destruction of Lidice by Germans who killed all men of the village. LS, crowd gathered on the emplacement of Lidice which had been leveled by the Germans. Place is marked with a cross and a crown of thorns. Shots taken between the Czech and Russian emblems surmounting the respective flags. BG, the official tribune decorated with flags of the allied nations. Speeches made by dignitaries, crowd listening. LS, end of ceremony. LS, Terezin, cemetery, death camp for political prisoners in Bohemia. Women tending the tombs. FG, a rough cross made of a vertical piece of wood crossed with metal slabs with words "26,000 victims of German Nazism" in French, English, Czech and Russian. Several shots of the same cemetery with rough cross and without it. Women tending to the graves. 1150 V (03:24:04): Prague and Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. A Catholic procession in the streets of Prague. LS worshippers praying inside Saint Vitus Cathedral. In front, children with flowers and an old woman. LS worshippers praying near the tomb of the Kings of Bohemia. LS procession leaving the Catholic Church of St. Nicolas and going through the streets of Prague. LS procession passing in front of the arcade and arriving at a street altar. LS and MS procession passing in front of shop of newspaper "Rude Pravo." MS nuns following the procession. LS priests and nuns in parade. LS EXT of old Slovak Church in Bratislava. In FG a modern store. LSs old woman and a girl walking in front of a sidewalk religious shrine made out of sheet iron into a figure of Christ. CU Christ figure. Women crossing themselves as they pass it.
