Scope and Content

The fragmentary fonds contains police (Gendarmerie) documents of the Gendarmerie Station in Kežmarok. In includes the list of Jews that were to be deported to the concentration camp in Žilina in 1942, the list of Jews that were to be arrested and deported from Kežmarok on 2 April 1942, the list of Jews that escaped from deportation (so-called "dezerteri") that were searched by police. There is also a report about specific Jews that were arrested. Some files contain instructions of the District Office in Kežmarok pertaining to the deportation of Jews from 1942, including the document on the exemption of Jewish pharmacists and doctors during the deportation from June 1942. There are also several lists of Jews arrested and deported to the concentration camp in Žilina in Summer 1942.The fonds also contains a specific report on the deportation of Jews to the concentration camp in Sereď from July 1942.
