Archival History
The records were created by several German occupation agencies including the Reichssicherheitshauptamt, the Zentralbauleitung der Waffen‐SS und Polizei in Auschwitz, the Gestapo, and the SS. The Red Army captured them at the end of World War II and later deposited them in the Center for the Preservation of Historical Documentary Collections (formerly the Osobyi Archive) in Moscow, Russia; in 1999, it was merged into RGVA, Russian State Military History Archives. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives selected certain files for filming during 1992 and 1993 and filming continues.
Scope and Content
Correspondence and newspaper clippings relating to the Seventh-Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses, the confiscation of their printed materials, and one item about Jewish influence on churches.
