Scope and Content

The file contains materials produced by the SCICOS Regional Commission for Vojvodina concerning the Banat region under control of the local German population. After the Axis invasion in 1941, they established their own administration. In August 1941 they formed the first concentration camps and interned all the Jews (about 3.500). Briefly after this they delivered them to the German authorities in Belgrade. 90% of them would be killed in 1941 and 1942. The file contain mostly materials about the concentration camps in the Banat region. The documents have been produced by SCICOS Regional Commission for Vojvodina in 1945 and 1946.
