Scope and Content

During the war the interviewee worked at a housing cooperation, which had many Jewish members, and which had its offices in the old Jewish neighbourhood in Amsterdam. He talks about the deportations of Jews, the emptying of the apartments afterwards, so-called ‘Puls-ing’ (named after the Puls removal company that was best-known for doing this), as well as how these apartments were then occupied by new inhabitants, in particular by Dutch women who were friendly with Germans.
